Halo, halo!
A Summer Party at Kapwa Wellness
Summer called. We answered with shaved ice, sweet treats, and the most joyful dessert the Philippines ever invented!
Halo, Halo! is our summer party — a colorful, delicious, laugh-out-loud afternoon designed for one thing: bringing people together. Come meet your community, build your own halo-halo bowl, play some games, and leave knowing why this iconic Filipino dessert is basically a masterclass in living well.
First timers welcome. Regulars, bring a friend.
Everyone gets dessert.
WHAT TO EXPECT
It's a party. Not a class, not a workshop — just a really fun afternoon with really good people and really good desserts.
We'll kick things off with icebreakers (the fun kind, not the awkward kind), move into building our own halo-halo bowls, play a few group games, and settle into the sweet Filipino tradition behind this beloved dessert.
Maria will share the cultural story of halo-halo — where it comes from, what it means, and why a layered, mixed-up dessert that refuses to be just one thing might be the most Filipino concept there is. Spoiler: it has everything to do with community.
After that?
More treats, more talking, more fun.
Come hungry.
Leave full — in every sense of the word.
